The Center is involved in projects designed to meet the needs of the inner-city.  All events at the Center reflect our focus on evangelism, teaching Biblical truth, fellowship and the desire to meet the needs of those around us.

The Baptist Center  
The Metropolitan Baptist Center expresses the love of Jesus Christ through meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people.  We provide emergency food and clothing assistance to anyone needing help.  We also provide support through Christian care giving, Bible studies and a job placement program.  It is our hope that people will be won to the Lord Jesus Christ and become actively involved in a Bible believing church.

Metro Mission Mania 
Mission groups from all over the country travel to Indianapolis to spend a week working alongside the Baptist Center ministry.  The mission includes working with children, senior citizens, homeless and single parent families. We also connect these groups with other inner-city ministries to give them a rich mission experience.

Operation Christmas 
This is a special holiday outreach project, on the 3rd Saturday of December each year, which brings churches and volunteers together to distribute food baskets and children’s gifts.  Over the last three years, eighteen hundred food baskets and four thousand gifts have been delivered to homes in Indianapolis.  This annual event brings us in contact with people that we will minister to throughout the year.

Urban Congregation 
An urban congregation meets in the Center’s facilities.  Cornerstone Christian Fellowship is a multicultural fellowship representing the diversity of downtown Indianapolis. Although a separate organization from the Center, the two work together to share the gospel and disciple those coming to know Christ.

Apartment Ministries 
The Baptist Center seeks ways to take the ministry of the Center to where people live.  We are committed to serving as a catalyst for mission groups to do seminars, week long, and long term ministries in apartment communities that the Center serves.  We are prepared to train and send interested groups.
