Ministry Evangelism is a term that expresses a style of ministry that looks for opportunities to meet physical needs and takes the opportunity to share the gospel. WE believe that the New
Testament church serves as a model for Ministry Evangelism. On this page of our website we want to highlight sister churches that serve on the front line with ministry evangelism type ministries. Many other churches in the Crossroads Association are doing ME. We would like to encourage them to contact us to seek ways that we can be an encouragement to them. We are also seeking to encourage churches to support ministry evangelism by: praying, sending volunteers, financial giving. Please consider supporting the following Ministries.

Since 1992 the people of Hawthorne Baptist Church, have had a passion to minister to those living on the near west side of Indianapolis. Early in the ministry of the Church, the small congregation wanted to be part of what God is doing around them. An early ministry was working with the homeless. For many years the church opened it’s doors in the winter when temperatures dropped below 32 degrees, and the larger missions were unable to handle the over flow. Other ministries
over the years have been: food pantry, soup kitchen and a park for the community.

Nehemiah House was established to meet the needs of women coming out of prison. The church purchased the home on the near east side of Indianapolis in March of 2004. It was completely restored through the volunteer labor of Christians from Crossroads Association and Faith Builders of Barton, TN. It opened in April of 2005 and has served 6 women in its first 22 months of operation. At this time the ministry is in need of women to mentor the residence as well as finances to help offset the
expenses.
